Young Americans may not be fascinated with cars like their parents and grandparents, but that's not stopping grownups from fantasizing about-- and spending discretionary money on-- cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Based on a 2,200 person survey conducted by eBay and Harris Interactive, over one third of vehicle owners expecting tax refunds will spend some of that dough on new or used cars and trucks, or to "spruce up" their current rides. And with March new car sales figures hitting their highest levels since 2007, it seems the market for all things motorized isn't dead yet-- music to carmaker's ears, not to mention folks who still prefer good ole internal combustion over the virtual world.
