Children's Health and Fitness - Len Saunders

From Baby Center?..

If your diet was bad before you had kids, it most likely still is.

Eating healthily takes time and effort. Nutrient rich vegetables can?t be purchased at a drive thru. They need to be cleaned and prepared. Same goes for lean meats and just about any food that has any substantial nutritional value.

Oh yeah, and then there?s the simple carb cravings that come with sleep deprivation. That?s where the cookies or copious amounts of buttered toast and sweetened coffee come in.

But seriously. The study, led by Dr. Helena Laroche, tracked 2,000 people over 20 years. Laroche focused on the first 7 years of a new parents? life and compared the diets of those subjects who became parents to those who never had kids:

Other than with saturated fat intake, parents? diets were similar to those without kids.
