Canada's Theisen wins third straight NCAA pentathlon title

Canadian Brianne Theisen won her third straight pentathlon title Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Theisen, from Humboldt, Sask., won with a score of 4,536.

The Oregon senior clinched by running a time of two minutes 13.95 seconds in the event-concluding 800 metres.

Her final score was just off her collegiate record of 4,555. She also set a Canadian record earlier this season.

Theisen's victory gave Oregon 10 team points in its bid to win a third consecutive NCAA women's indoor championship.
